Description

Johnson and Johnson is currently recruiting for a Manager, SAP Technology Projects. This position can be located in New Brunswick, NJ or Raritan, NJ. This position will require up to 10% travel.

The resource will be accountable for availability management and life cycle management of the software and H/W of 30+ applications that enables HR/Payroll for 8 countries including US. This role will be the primary interface to infrastructure layer and also manage 3rd party service provides for TLM. Applications include core SAP ECC6, BI, PI and plug in components.

Specific responsibilities/principle duties will include; Assists business case development for projects in consultation with business and IT colleagues and gains sponsorship for the project. Provides coaching and talent management for assigned staff in accordance with internal policies and procedures. This role will act as a liaison between project team and various support functions within shared services and corporate business functions. The role will possess high level of understanding and capability to implement changes on multiple software and hardware platforms. Ensure correct solution architecture for platforms. The candidate will own the development, maintenance, execution and communication of all processes related to Technology services including, but not limited to, Technology Lifecycle and platform improvements. Ensure cross-functional processes are successfully designed, deployed and managed. Maintain an awareness of technologies used in the industry and by other leading global I/T organizations, and uses this information to develop new strategies and recommendations. The individual will be able to troubleshoot any issues, enhance system when needed and drive resolution for critical issues by bringing teams together. The role must be able to effectively communicate complex technical changes to non-technical teams. Aid incident management teams with problem investigations. Responsible for capacity planning, financial planning, forecast management, portfolio status, service management and KPI reporting to internal and external stakeholders. The role will ensure J&J System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) requirements are completed. Provide guidance on continuous improvement.

Qualifications


A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is strongly preferred, preferably in Information Technology, or Computer Science. An Associates degree is required. A PMP Certification is preferred. A certification in SAP BASIS and/or ABAP is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of IT project management experience is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience managing on-shore and off-shore teams (can include contractors) is required. A minimum of 4 years of experience supporting complex, multi-solution environments from a lifecycle prospective is required. Experience in at least 2 full life cycle SAP implementations is required. Experience required with SAP Support Projects. Adequate knowledge in project estimation, converting functional requirements into technical design, code review, performance tuning etc is required.

Ability to think broadly about the implications of work plans and how they may impact other areas of the organization is required. Demonstrated experience solving a variety of technical challenges around integration, personalization, and innovation is required. Strong analytical skills to proactively recommend system improvements are required. Ability to work across multiple countries/cultures and to lead and influence teams in a virtual work environment is required. Must maintain integrity and trust within and across all organizations and relationships.

Experience in leading a cross functional team and direct people management is required. A Change Agent with a high tolerance for ambiguity is preferred. Ability to adopt and deploy J&J Credo leadership skills is preferred.
