Director, Adult Day Services

Position Overview
· Directs the administration of the Adult Day Center. Directs all aspects of planning, program development and funding opportunities. Provides overall management of daily operations for the center, including supervision of staff and services to ensure quality and efficiency of operations.
· Leads program design and strategy development aimed at creating a supportive environment that fosters stimulating activities and progressive therapy to clients and families. Ensures coordination of care and activities among the site staff. Oversees Day Center relationship with regional staff to enhance overall Care Management of members.
· Oversees service and provider contracts, and scheduling of transportation, services, staffing, activities, meals and service utilization.
· Ensures compliance with social adult day regulatory requirements and coordinates day center audits. Participates in social adult day credentialing activities with the VNSNY CHOICE Provider Relations Department.
· Identifies proposes and manages grants and grant expenditures.
· Ensures effective staff training, evaluates staff performance, provides input for the development of the department budget, and hires/promotes/terminates staff and recommends salary actions as appropriate.
Requirements: Valid driver’s license or NYS Non-Driver photo ID card, may be required as determined by operational/regional needs. Bachelors Degree in health care, social work or related field required. Minimum of five years of geriatric experience required. Minimum of two years in site-based, geriatric day care preferred. Proficient personal computer skills, including MS Windows (Word, Excel) required. Prior supervisory experience required.
