Job: Scheduling Engineer Tutor Perini Building Co.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose
Assistance in management of the baseline project schedules for all aspects of the project.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Senior Schedulers in creating and formulating project timelines.
  • Interface with project teams to formulate & develop schedules that fully integrate with all phases, function & activities of the project;
  • Develop schedule logic, connectivity & hierarchy;
  • Assist teams in identifying key milestones;
  • Perform critical path analyses, identify & assess potential schedule risks, issues & voids & develop solutions for risk/deviation mitigation, & adjust schedules accordingly;
  • Follow developed scheduling standards, templates and ‘rule of thumb’ information of project teams;
  • Identify & provide schedule reports that are beneficial to the project team;
  • Ensure key metrics & benchmarks are in place to effectively gauge schedule performance & promote continuous improvement;
  • Provide guidance & direction to the engineering/design and construction disciplines in the effective use of the integrated schedule for obtaining physical percent complete & earned value analysis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills / Experience
  • Proficiency in CPM & resource loaded scheduling processes, physical progress tracking & earned value analysis;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with diverse integrated project teams, site leadership & operations to guide, inform & lead the application of scheduling best practices and processes;
  • Expert level user of Primavera & experience with MS Project;
  • Knowledge of Critical Chain scheduling methodology & concepts a plus;
  • Ability to effectively plan & organize work load;
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze & resolve complex scheduling issues and recommend solutions that minimize adverse impact to project & business objectives;
  • Experience using Microsoft office platform including WORD, EXCEL & POWERPOINT;
  • Must be self motivated with a strong interest in project engineering as a career;
  • Work effectively in a team and every changing environment;
  • Good communication skills in speaking, writing & problem solving skills;
  • Knowledge or construction practices & procedures;
  • 2 years of construction scheduling experience with proficiency of CPM;
  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or engineering.
