Director of Community Psychiatric Practice
New York City Location
Reporting to the Chief of Clinical & Medical Services, the Director of Community Psychiatric Practice is responsible for promoting excellence in psychiatric practice in JBFCS community settings. This includes: development, implementation and review of standards; maintenance of clinical skills (amongst Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners); screening and interviewing of candidates; and increasing use of Nurse Practitioners; and working closely with program directors and central departments.
Requirements:
- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatrist with clinical and administrative experience in the public sector.
- Experienced as a community practitioner and manager.
- Able to work independently and travel to agency programs.
- Experience with adult and/or child behavioral health population.
- Minimum of 8 years of direct clinical practice.
- Prior supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
