The Software Engineer analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software. He/she utilizes programming languages and technologies to develop new computer applications or enhancements for commercial or end-user applications.
Provide outstanding client service and contributes to the organization’s mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care.
- Work closely with a team and will report to the Product Manager or Team Lead.
- Familiar with system design and analysis, test and documentation of multiple proprietary SQL driven interfaces.
- Familiar with Software Engineering process and product support.
- Technical support of the custom applications
- Open communication with other teams in design, development, test, life-cycle support & problem determination.
- Interface with client(s) to define problems, and propose solutions.
- Work with HL7, EDI, HIPAA code set and Proprietary formats to develop solutions.
- Familiar with database design, relational databases, and SQL, Web Development & Web architecture
- 2-3 years of SQL programming experience, prefers in medical facilities
- 1-2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Quality ControlKnowledge of Java 1.4 or higher, UNIX, Perl, SQL, XML and JDBC
- Familiar with Apache Tomcat, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, TCP/IP, billing systems and web services is a mandatory.
- Knowledge in EDI, HIPAA transactions and medical billing are desirable.
- Relational database design and understanding – required
- Familiar with Production Support.
- Knowledge of Windows OS
