About the Job

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Senior Benefits Manager to administer our employee benefits programs. As the primary benefits contact for the company, the Senior Benefits Manager will demonstrate the ability to review proposals, negotiate pricing, maintain benefits systems and handle employees' questions on a daily basis.

The firm is a Software Manufacturer with approximately 1500 employees located in SOHO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Research, design, implement and administer benefits plans for health, welfare, 401k, time off, and other benefits services as appropriate.
- Participate in surveys, analyze trends, and recommend changes to existing plans.
- Consult with insurance brokers in order to analyze benefit options, predict and control costs, discuss funding arrangements, and recommend value-added enhancements.
- Ensure that benefit plans are administered in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. Maintain awareness of and analyze current and developing legislation and regulations affecting benefits in order to assess their potential or impact on the company develop company responses to said changes.
- Partner with vendors and legal resources in order to complete government and regulatory agency required reporting. Prepare other internal benefits report as requested.
- Interpret policies and procedures, evaluating existing policies to determine competitiveness and appropriateness, developing new policies and practices as needed.
- Respond to employees' routine and non-routine, complex, and/or sensitive benefits inquiries, correspondence, and complaints. Maintain good working relationships with employees at all levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related, and minimally 8-10 years of benefits administration experience, preferably with large, multi-state benefit plans and programs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of claims management, federal and state laws, and reporting requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary up to about $120K + Bonus + Full Comprehensive Benefits Package!
