Manager, EDI Maintenance and Operations
Full Time Position
Summary
Plans for, directs, monitors and provides maintenance and operations guidance to Production Application Support teams composed of IS and user departmental personnel; guides the daily EDI Gateway operations support, maintenance and minor enhancements and deployment of new application releases; and consults with user Department Heads on IS issues as directed by the Director, EDI.
Principal Accountabilities
- Plans, schedules, and manages all of the maintenance and minor enhancements in the lifecycle phases of SDLC with minimum supervision; conducts release planning
- Provides daily operational support in the EDI Gateway with the Production Application Support teams
- Manages Continual Improvement projects to increase efficiencies and streamline operations, provides management reporting and metrics
- Consults with our internal business partners and IS dept. staff regarding system needs in order to better understand maintenance and minor enhancements
- Interviews, hires and supervises Systems and Technical Analysts and Programmer Analysts as assigned to the maintenance and operations support team

- Prepare maintenance plans; Schedule minor enhancements; Assign resources to the tasks
- Possess strong problem solving skills and manage the team effectively
- Educate and cross train the staff
- Discuss maintenance and operations status to Business Partners and keep them informed about progress.
- Keep contact with vendor, development teams and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
- Ability to perform under stress
- Ability to communicate efficiently with internal and external partners as well as team members (written and verbal).
Education and Experience
- BA, BS degree in computer science or equivalent and no less than 10 years of previous work experience in IS Systems Analysis which includes 5 years maintenance and operations management experience
- Additional experience in the field could be substituted for college not for IS Systems Training. Completion of a Masters Degree preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA EDI transactions and mapping is highly desirable.
