Manager of IS / IT 

(AS/400)

A world renowned retailer of high-end women’s and men’s fashion is seeking a Manager of Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) within an AS/400 environment.  Responsibilities will include Help Desk Management, Network Administration, and Programming.  The company offers a stable, collaborative and friendly work environment.

Responsibilities:

•Manage IT / IS department in accordance with company’s policies, procedures and goals.

•Ensure proper functionality of information processing systems and make any necessary upgrades.

•Assist various business operations departments in improving utilization of information systems to improve efficiency

•Maintain and update computer equipment, hardware and software to meet organizational needs

•Help Desk Management

oProvide support to end users on various issues

•Network Administration

oSetup, configure and support internal and external networks

oDevelop and maintain all systems, applications, security, and network configurations

oTroubleshoot network performance issues 

•Create and maintain a disaster recovery plan

•Recommend upgrades, patches to applications and equipment.

•Provide technical support and guidance to users.

•Programming AS400

oRPG-2, RPG-3, RPG-4  and RPG LE

Qualifications & Required Skills:

•Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT administration within an AS/400 environment

•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline

•Direct experience with AS/400

•Hands-on experience with Microsoft server technology

•Ability to prioritize and handle complex tasks simultaneously

•A proven track record of managing leading and finishing projects

•Team player who works well with creative end-users in a 24/7 environment

Base Salary:  $50,000- $80,000 (commensurate with experience) plus bonus and benefits
