·         Responsible for all supporting fragrance development initiatives including ancillary products, scented sampling vehicles and brochure, sales and activation supporting materials.
·         Participate in brainstorming efforts and in the creating and writing of new fragrance product concepts.
·         Work closely with consumer insights and sensory teams to support and guide the fragrance development.
·         Work closely with core Fragrance Suppliers while fostering partnerships.
Qualifications
·         BS/MS degree in industry related science.
·         Must have a minimum 8 years of experience in fragrance evaluation for fine fragrance,   beauty and personal care categories.
·         Significant experience with fragrance industry regulations.
·         Exceptional olfactory skills and an extensive knowledge of fragrance development processes
·         Knowledge of perfumery language and materials.
·         Strong presentation skills
·         Strong olfactive skill set across Fine Fragrance and Personal Care Categories
·         Ability to devise olfactive strategies
·         Strong project management skills

About the Job

The role of the Fragrance Director leads and directs the olfactive development of fragrances.   The ideal candidate should have the ability to develop global fragrances while taking into account key regional markets’ local competitive landscape, consumer insights and trends.  Ensure that manufactured fragrance formulations comply with regulatory requirements.  Manage and execute value engineering & material standardization initiatives to support cost savings objectives. Management of material sourcing issues, tactical management of the creative catalog, and support to other various initiatives and functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
·         Direct & coordinate internal and external resources needed to evaluate and execute reformulation of actively selling fragrances in response to regulatory & customer requirements.
·         Maintain awareness and understanding of fragrance industry regulatory activity, new customer requirements, & mounting fragrance material issues that could impact our existing business.
·         Manage material supply issues to ensure continuity of supply
·         Provide technical support to various internal organizations and initiatives.
·         Identify, document, transfer, and implement the Technical Perfumery procedures and best practices globally.
