FACILITIES MANAGER, ENVIRONMENTAL

POSITION SUMMARY:
NCC is seeking a Facilities Manager (FM) to join its dynamic staff. In this new role, the FM will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing building operations, services and processes that support the core business of NCC.The FM will partner with Director of Environmental Services and focus on strategic planning and day-to-day operational and maintenance related tasks.
IDEAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes and experience:
Ø Ability tomanage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core business activities
Ø Demonstrate the ability ofusing best business practices to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity
Ø Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ø Experience planning and overseeing building work/renovation which, includes project planning and management, coordinating building maintenance and operational activities
Ø Experience supervising teams of staff, including maintenance, grounds and custodial workers
Ø Experience ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
Ø Ability to serve as primary contact for facility and respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise, which may require evening and weekend work
Ø Highly organized and meticulous in checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies
Ø Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three (3) years’ of experience in facilities management, supervising others and valid New Jersey Boilers license or High School Diploma with five (5) to ten (10) years of years’ experience in facilities management, supervising others and valid New Jersey Boilers license.
