Job: Director, Creative Processes (macys.com)

Job Overview:

The Director, Creative Processes is responsible for driving improvement and process efficiency across all Creative workflows in our fast-paced and continuously evolving environment. Reporting to the Vice-President, Creative Operations, this position requires strong partnership and project management abilities as well as attention to detail and outstanding communication and presentation skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and expertise in ecommerce creative workflows and the ability to work productively and coordinate with cross-functional partners.

Essential Functions:
  • Creative workflow process efficiency and improvement. In addition to improving the overall status quo, identify best practices as well as automated opportunities which lead us to incremental as well as game changing improvements.
  • Act as team leader for our in-house workflow systems and technology. Working with our partners in ecommerce technology as well as our creative teams, ensure needed system enhancements are identified, road-mapped and once implemented spearhead training programs to ensure team members are fully prepared to utilize improvements.
  • Define and develop a process for continuous improvement so that our Creative workflow (marketing asset creation and product photography) meet the demands of our rapidly growing and evolving business.
  • Create and maintain relevant process workflow maps and documentation. Identify opportunities to align process steps where necessary.
  • Analyze creative workflows to ensure compliance with established procedures. Investigate exceptions to determine causes and make actionable recommendations to bring about improvement. Lead implementation of approved process improvements.
  • Ensure relevant training and training materials are current and meet our evolving needs as well as macys.com at large.
  • Lead and facilitate our growing utilization of offshore resources, driving and improving quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure offshore work is completed with the highest degree of compliance.
  • Develop and periodically maintain Creatives Business Continuity plan.
  • Special Projects as needed.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Liberal Arts or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant management experience, preferably in ecommerce, advertising or marketing industries.
  • Models behavior exemplifying high ethical standards and organizational discipline balanced with the ability to have fun and recognize those who have contributed to a successful project
  • Strong command of all relevant office and creative computer applications
  • Experience with retail photography operations, traffic and production
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand, manage and prioritize multiple tasks and aptitude to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
