The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) organization, is the charitable arm of The Brooklyn Hospital Center. We exist solely to support the vision and mission of The Brooklyn Hospital Center.We raise money through major gifts, annual campaigns, special events, and private foundation and corporate solicitations.
Development Manager
The Development Manager is in charge of all administrative duties for the Foundation. Depending on strengths and expressed interest,simultaneously plays a variety of roles within the comprehensivefundraising program. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-oriented, with an aptitude to problem solveand excellent communication skills, especially written.Significant interfacing with hospital departments. Ability to handle confidential information.
v Administrative duties include -oversight of donations:inputting data, maintaining donor databases, perform data analysis and run reports; write, order office supplies; process and track payment of invoices, interface with hospital departments, and other duties as assigned. Liaise with outside vendors.
v Supports the production of 3-6 special events a year andgetsinvolved in all aspects including creative, fundraising strategy and production.
v Schedules and manages 4 Foundation Board meetings a year, organizes and distributes support materials including agendas,power points, financial records, meeting minutes, etc. Schedules and manages the Foundation’s sub-committee meetings: grants and distribution, nominating, Finance,Founders Ball, and Young Leadership Council.
v Manages all aspects of stewardship program: writes,produces and tracks letters; manages donor incentives; donor wall, plaques, etc.
v Plays role in physician and employee annual funds: developing themes and materials, identifying and recruiting volunteer leadership, leading solicitation efforts, cultivating and soliciting physicians and employees, etc.
