era-contact, family-owned and headquartered in Germany, develops, produces and sells worldwide electro-mechanical products such as electrical contacts, contact systems, connectors, automatic electric couplers, cable harnesses and vehicle cabling serving the railway technology as well as the industrial sector. Besides its headquarter in Germany, the company also has branch offices in France, Tunisia, China and the U.S.
We are searching a Wire Harness Assembler in the field of railway technology to meet the growing demand in the North American market.
Responsibilities:
Joining a dynamic team, the right candidate will primarily be responsible for the assembling of wire harnesses and switchgear cabinets in our North American business operations.
Requirements:
Two to five years of experience in the described field is a plus. The right candidate will have excellent technical skills and experience in state-of-the-art railway technologies, preferably also previous experience with rail products. In addition, strong manufacturing and assembling skills as well as being able to work independently are necessary for this job. Proficient user of computer equipment. This includes Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, printers, etc. and must be skilled in use of all applicable software. Assemble, mount and wire products according to assembly drawings following all notes. Visually inspect products throughout assembly to ensure our quality standards are met. Operate technical equipment such as cutters, tweezers and pliers. Knowledge of component identification. Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
Education/Experience:
Certifications such as IPC is a plus
