SENIOR ACCOUNTANT / NEXT ACCOUNTING MANAGER

We seek a senior accountant. This position offers exceptional growth opportunities, reports to our Controller, and promises to be a fast paced, hands-on position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review, compile and analyze financial information to summarize accounts and information for the general ledger, sales journal, check register, accounts payable ledger, accounts receivable ledger, payroll ledger, fixed asset ledger, etc. to document business transactions in compliance with accounting principles, policies and procedures.
2. Establish and maintain procedures to ensure adequate internal control.
3. Perform: bank reconciliations, account analysis, updating/calculating/checking worksheets, establishing and updating fixed asset ledger, posting/balancing/reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing tax reports, and preparing various other schedules as required.
4. Coordinate the monthly closing of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers and prepares the financial statements including the income statement and balance sheet within the established closing schedule.
5. Prepare reports as required to summarize projected financial position, including cash projections.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A or B.S.) in Accounting from a four year college or university; B.S. or B.A. Degree in Accounting/Finance;
- 3+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience with good accounting skills
