RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

Under general supervision, perform Laboratory Technical Services (LTS) functions supporting the customer’s research and development community. Interact with customer base and collaborate with colleagues to maintain a successful partnership and exceed expectations. Perform other Laboratory Technical Services duties as directed by supervision.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

Primary responsibilities and cross-training opportunities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Fulfill internal/external chemical requests submitted by the customers.
2. Execute sourcing and weighing requests submitted by the customers – includes subdivision of chemicals and library collections.
3. Maintain stockroom inventories according to the thresholds determined by the customer.
4. Communicate with customers and/or shipping department to schedule inter-site and intra-site shipments of materials.
5. Communicate with supervisor regarding supply stock, glassware needs, specialty gas cylinder stock, instrument maintenance, and software upgrades.
6. Assist with chemical stockroom, laboratory supply stockroom, and site inventories.
7. Execute sampling of water systems, clean steam systems, and air monitoring.
8. Fulfill media/solution requests submitted by the customers.
9. Complete assay experiments to determine contamination of customers’ culture stocks.
10. Maintains shipments of clinical study specimens, and handles according to study protocol.
11. Comply with all regulations and documentation while performing services in applicable areas.
12. Collect and supply metrics as required by management.
13. Maintain a safe and clean working environment within the laboratory and office.
14. Complies with all company and customer policies and procedures, and adheres to company standards.
15. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Associate’s Degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent work experience.
2. Prior experience in a regulated environment such as the pharmaceutical, medical device, or other life science industry preferred.
3. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
4. Prior experience with TRACE, SciQuest, MediaReq, SmartBalance, LIMS, or Watson software preferred.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with management and employees at all levels within an organization, including customers.
6. Must have demonstrated experience in a safe, team-based, high-performance, quality-driven environment.
