The IT Technical Manager, Serialization will provide project and operational support to the global Enterprise Serialization Center of Excellence within the Applications Services, Supply Chain Organization.
The IT Technical Manager, Serialization will lead and/or support all of the aspects of the system development life cycle for the Enterprise Serialization solution which is based on SAP’s Auto ID Infrastructure and Object Event Repository solution.
Responsibilities for this position include: Lead key Application Services ERP components of the global Enterprise Serialization Implementation; Provide Level 2 and Level 3 operational support for Enterprise Serialization across multiple ERP platforms; Develop and update business process and validation documentation required to support requirements definition, configuration, test plan creation, test execution (unit, operation, and qualification), work instructions and end user training; Support the design and development of enhancements, reports, forms, interfaces and master data conversions including specifications, testing and error resolution; Determine the impact of changes to configuration both within the defined area of responsibility as well as across other functional areas; Provide functional configuration and development support for SAP Auto Id Infrastructure and Object Event Repository Solutions; Coordinate efforts between various IT Technical teams related to Enterprise Serialization integration; Provide proactive and timely response to all design and production challenges; Actively manage the support and involvement of power users and business owners; Train power users and end users on system functionality; The ability to troubleshoot design issues and engage SAP OSS as required obtaining resolution.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Information Management or Supply Chain Operations. A minimum of 8 years of relevant IT experience is required. A minimum of 7 years of SAP ERP Functional or Technical experience in areas supporting Logistics, Materials Management and/or Manufacturing is required. A minimum of 1 year of hands on SAP Auto Id Infrastructure (AII) and/or SAP Object Event Repository (OER) experience is required. Demonstrated applied knowledge of integration between SAP Auto Id Infrastructure and Manufacturing or Distribution Center Edgeware systems is required. Experience working in a current GMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Computer Systems Validation and System Development Life Cycle Methodologies is strongly preferred. Experience integrating SAP ECC SD or MM modules with SAP PI and SAP AII/OER is preferred. SAP Technical Development or related integration experience is preferred. Ability to lead or collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual work environment is preferred. Ability to work across multiple countries and cultures is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Candidate should have experience in the following areas of SAP AII/OER: Configuration / setup of Central Number range management and local serial number range management; Configuration / setup of Flexible delivery processing scenario; Configuration / setup of Product Tracking and Authentication processes; Configuration / setup of Event Management processes; Configuration / setup of interface with Distribution Center Edgeware system; Define global serial number ranges and local serial number ranges for Item, Case and pallets; Perform Product tracking and authentication; Master data setup in SAP AII and OER to support processes in Distribution Center Edgeware system.
