General Purpose:
The General Manager is responsible for Day-to-Day operations of WNY Enterprise LLC. Key responsibilities include: Oversight of Plant Operations, Customer and Supplier Relationship Management, P&L Owner, and primary liaison with Farmer Members and the WNY Enterprise LLC Board of Directors. Manages, directs and coordinates overall plant operations including hiring/training start-up team members. Primary liaison with Farmer/Owner milk suppliers and finished product customers. Leads organization to assure safety, quality, production and business objectives are met in a manner consistent with DFA values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordination of Sales and Marketing activities for WNY Enterprise LLC. Including primary interface with customers as well as coordination with DMS and logistics.
Manages, directs, and coordinates overall plant operations including hiring/training team members assuring safety, quality, production objectives are met consistent with cost and performance standards.
Assures that business and organization objectives are met.
Monitor and direct daily and ongoing plant operations. Coordinate initial plant operations with the engineering/project team during start-up and future expansion projects when needed.
Address production, quality, personnel, safety, customer, and regulatory issues in a timely fashion as required.
Ensure that plant is operating in compliance with all customer and government regulations (USDA, State, FDA, OSHA, EPA).
Responsible for assuring the plant and products meet customer specifications.
Assist in developing and responsible for budgets, capital projects, policies and procedures.
Maintain and support prescribed programs of employee relations, health and safety, training and development, compensation and benefits for all employees in the plant.
Interact with customers to meet their expectations on operational and quality objectives.
Support / Promote Continuous Improvement activities to enhance plant efficiencies and ensure the plant is meeting customer expectations.
Coordinate plant tours with customers.
Follow all GMPs and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable discipline.
Minimum of 5 years plant management experience
Demonstrated experience successfully managing customer relationships.
Minimum of ten (10) years in a food-processing environment, dairy experience preferred.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong financial acumen and proven ability to manage P&L
Excellent communicator to any/all audiences
Results oriented business manager
Ability to manage diverse relationships in a matrix environment
Open and receptive thought-leader
Ability to use P&L results and Key Performance Indicators (KPI”S) to improve performance
Creative problem solver using the combined talents of various individuals throughout the organization
Excellent team building skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task
Ability to interact in a positive way with all personnel and with our customers
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
