Job: Freelance Production Assistant/ Video Editor

The Role:The Employee Communications Team provides Bloomberg Employees information about management strategy, professional development initiatives, business information and culture.


The group uses editorial, multimedia, and design components to help business units across the company communicate Bloomberg s culturally branded messaging. The group does this through multiple channels including ONBB, Town Halls, HR, PATH, and ARCADE.

ECOMM also provides content, as well as editorial and multimedia support to the Corporate Communications team as well as Professional Development, Employee Engagement, Financial Products, R&D, The Verticals, Marketing and Chairman, CEO and COO s offices.

Production Assistant/ Video Editor would be responsible for processing and editing HD digital media for Bloomberg Employee Communications team. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to consolidating and/or transcoding media, posting rough cuts to internal websites, archiving and maintaining projects, scheduling video crews, writing draft production briefs and scripts. Must have professional experience with the following video production applications: Avid Media Composer 6 or later, Adobe Premiere 6 or later, and Final Cut Pro 7.

Videography and field productions experience also desired, but not required.

Qualifications:

-2+ years recent/relevant experience
- Proficient in Mac and PC platforms
