Senior Project Manager w/ Property & Casualty Experience

ROLE: Responsible for the coordination and completion of large complex projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. May require a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
General Requirements: At least 7 years of hands-on Project Management experience demonstrating the following skills in managing large complex initiatives:
- Establish positive working relationships with customers, stakeholders and team members.
- Lead project team to deliver business and technical objectives on-time and within budget
- Act as a problem solver and drive decisions.
- Follow established project management practices including management of scope, requirements, issues, and risks.
- Collaborate with external consultants and manage vendor relationships
- Have understanding of the technical aspects of insurance systems and interfaces
- Create MS Project schedule and utilize the schedule to communicate and manage the work.
- Manage project budget and maintain ongoing cost benefit analysis
- Report status, baseline variances, issues and risks according to PMO practices
- Ensure that all required project deliverables are created and kept up to date
- Prepare project for governance gate approvals.
- Collaborate with other project and program managers to manage project interdependencies.
