  Work with architects, interior designers, building owners, etc., to develop the design concept for lighting of interior and/or exterior spaces.
• Determine how a space will be treated with light for esthetic and practical purposes, taking into account the function, level of formality, budget, and other qualities of the space
• Selecting lighting equipment and control systems to realize the design, while respecting energy codes and IES recommended footcandle levels
• Produces sketches, drawings, layouts, specifications, reports and other graphic material which communicates the design intent to the participants in the construction process.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• 10 years or more of experience in lighting design
• Proficiency in Photoshop and lighting calculation programs

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)

· Knowledge of AutoCad
