A Prominent Company located in Somerset County, New Jersey has an excellent opportunity for a Collections Specialist with responsibilities as follows:
  • Document and maintain accurate information on client accounts
  • Handle all customer service and administrative issues
  • Collaborate with various internal departments, vendors, sales force, and management to troubleshoot and resolve customer discrepancies
  • High inbound and outbound calls on past due credit card payments
  • Negotiate payment arrangements based on financial circumstances
  • Play a major role in achieving monthly collection objectives
  • Coordinate with customer service for inquiries and account resolution
  • Account Reconciliation
  • Deduction resolutions
  • Analysis and resolution of variances
  • A/R day’s outstanding analysis
  • Daily cash applications
Qualified candidates will possess:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment

Position Description

Accountant Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an Accountant to join our client in Bridgewater, New Jersey.


Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for GR / IR analysis and clearing.
- Perform GR / IR analytic assessments (aging, blocked invoices, etc.).
- Work cross-functionally and liaison with NA Controlling, Procurement, Procurement Operations Shared Service, Accounts Payable and Business Owners surrounding GR / IR clearing requirements or issues (invoice remediation, quantity / price variances, etc.).
- Adhere to best practices surrounding GR / IR controls, roles and responsibilities and process flow.
- Support the development of relevant training for Finance, Purchasing, NA Procurement Operations, shared services, and Business.
- Performs all related SOX controls.
- Obtain all appropriate required documentation.
- Generate various monthly reports and status updates as needed.



Job Qualifications: 

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Five (5) plus years of relevant work experience.
- Audit Background is a plus.
- Experience must include knowledge of accounting, sourcing, procurement and contract management.
- Understanding of contracts and business and both legal and financial terms and conditions.
- Excellent understanding of Procure to Pay process including financial, accounts payables and procurement process and systems (i.e. SAP and Ariba).
- Proficient in Excel, pivot tables, VLookup, etc.
- Access / Database knowledge is a plus.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of project, contract, and PO lifecycle management of spending.
- Qualified candidate should possess excellent organizational skills and a systematic approach to work with care taken over detail and due regard to confidentiality.
- Must possess efficient analytical skills, attention to detail and be able to diligently follow up on many items that are simultaneously in various stages of completion.
- Plans, prioritizes, organizes and completes work to meet established objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

Senior Tax Accountants contribute to the success of the firm by providing high-quality, professional client service; building and maintaining positive relationships; developing their technical skills; displaying excellent oral and written communication skills; and by championing the Firm’s vision, shared values, and strategic priorities.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparation of basic federal corporate (C and S) and multi-state tax returns, and basic partnership returns.
• Preparation of basic and intermediate individual tax returns.
• Proficient in work paper preparation.
• Preparation of tax checklists.
• Preparation of adjusting journal entries for tax purposes.
• Ability to draft a response to a tax notice.
• Knowledge of tax line coding.
• Possess a basic understanding of book/tax differences.
• Preparation of tax depreciation schedules including proper classification of assets.
