The Business Relationship Senior Analyst in this role is responsible for partnering with Corporate Communications - Strategic Organization and Enterprise Functional Communications teams. The individual in this role participates in strategic planning, business planning and business analysis, needs analysis and business risk assessment, and consults with business partners to shape demand and determine how to best support the business through the effective use of technology. The individual in this role manages strategic relationships with partners by representing and promoting IT capabilities. Portfolio of applications within the scope of this position's responsibility may include IT portal, The Pulse, HR Portal, Global ENN, Do Good Be Well and other intranet, web and social engagement/collaboration applications. This role also partners extensively with Application Services and ITSS in the delivery of initiatives in support of the business.
Position Responsibilities:
Integrate & manage relationships with business partners (Corporate Communications) by representing & promoting IT capabilities. Partner within other IT and J&J organizations to identify emerging technologies to meet Communications needs, where appropriate. Form productive networks with internal business partners, external customers, and the vendor community, effectively and proactively managing expectations and integrating potentially diverse needs and perspectives. Coordinate communications and activities on projects, to devise/modify procedures, or to develop new processes with the business partner community, agencies, and other external vendors (as applicable). Collaborate with business partners to identify innovative methods of leveraging technology to improve efficiency, quality, and speed to achieve successful outcomes. Facilitate day-to-day activities for assigned business partner community by being viewed as an extended member of the partner’s team. Helps business partners clarify unclear business needs, define requirements, and determine how to best address those needs. Drive value of technology with partners. Plan and execute projects and communications that support the IT strategy as well as the business direction for partners. Performs risk assessment, develops a contingency plan, and realigns project efforts, developing possible alternatives and recommendations when unanticipated situations arise. Provides the final definition of the project plan from a business perspective, including the deliverables required and the results expected, and obtains approval/sponsorship/support from Communications partners. Maintain strong current knowledge of industry, business process, and technology trends, especially as it pertains to digital and interactive communication technologies, and apply that knowledge to existing business processes. Responsible for ensuring compliance requirements are met (e.g. WICO, HIPAA).
Qualifications
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and BA/BS Degree or equivalent OR a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with advanced degree or equivalent is preferred. Experience or equivalent knowledge and skills necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities is required. Must have a proven track record of building strong business partner relationships. A minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience is preferred. Experience with Interactive / Digital communication technologies is preferred. Experience with Internet, Intranet, Collaboration, Social Media, Mobile, Analytics, SharePoint and other communication technologies is preferred. Experience working within a regulated environment is preferred. This position is based in New Brunswick, NJ.
